Made of real wood with metal lock mechanism and barrel.  Modeled after 19th century muzzle loading flintlock rifles used by trappers, explorers, pirates and soldiers.  Can fire standard ring caps one at a time but primarily meant for use without caps.

This toy rifle is 38" in length with a flintlock rather than a percussion lock.  What's the difference?  Flintlocks were the predecessor to percussion locks.  Flintlocks used an actual piece of flint to create spark and ignite the powder while percussion locks used small, premade caps to do the same thing.  Very convinsing flintlock for a toy complete with hinged cock, hinged frizzen, pan and engraving.
